Artistic Journey
From Graffiti to Anamorphic Masterpieces:
A Life Dedicated to Street Art and Visual Illusion
I've been passionate about drawing since childhood, and in the early '90s, I began exploring urban art with my first graffiti. From that moment on, bringing painting and color to walls and streets became my primary means of communication.
Also in the '90s, I challenged myself with the art of the Madonnari—the ephemeral art of chalk drawing—recognized worldwide as a popular tradition of Italian street art.
Throughout my professional career, the art of the Madonnari and muralism have been my constant companions during the free moments allowed by my official work commitments. Chalk and spray cans: it was with these two very different tools that I began venturing out and funding my early travels throughout Italy and the Mediterranean basin.
My educational journey developed through academic studies and further training in various disciplines related to pictorial, graphic, and visual communication, both in public and private schools in Milan. As my career evolved from producing illustrations, graphics, photography, and animation films to video production and post-production for music, advertising, and cinema, and finally to art direction in the advertising field, I chose in 2008 to dedicate myself entirely to street art—traveling the world and making this passion my main professional activity.
Street Art and Optical Illusion
It was a commercial request from Apple that, in 2009, led me to create my first 3D painting using Anamorphic Perspective. After this experience and the visibility I gained, together with several European and American colleagues, I became one of the international pioneers of this technique, participating in over 300 events.
Innovation and International Prestige
I was the first artist to combine anamorphic art, video animation, and video mapping, and I have exhibited in various Art Biennales while performing in contemporary art exhibitions. Some of my works as a Madonnari artist are preserved in sacred places such as the Basilica of the Nativity in Bethlehem and the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City.
Among the various accolades I've received is the prestigious title of Maestro Madonnaro at the Festival di Grazie in Curtatone, the oldest and most renowned festival of Madonnari in the world. In 2017, I further earned recognition at the internationally prestigious “Dubai 3D Award” competition in Dubai—a milestone that confirmed the value of my artistic and technical journey.
A Concrete Experience
My style is extremely varied and eclectic, the result of continuous research and experimentation. My artistic approach isn’t about creating a signature style, but about producing works that fully satisfy the requirements of those who commission them. Every project represents a challenge, an opportunity for growth, and a moment of interaction with the public, all aimed at generating a lasting visual and emotional impact.
In addition to my creativity, I have developed strong organizational skills, honed by managing large-scale projects such as art direction for anamorphic art museums and Street Art festivals. Through collaborations with clients, agencies, and fellow artists, I have cultivated robust management and organizational abilities, coordinating teams and supervising every stage of production. These experiences include managing anamorphic art museums, festivals, and events related to Street Art.
Thanks to my background in communication and advertising, I know how to transform complex concepts into immediate and effective images, turning every work into a powerful storytelling tool.
